My Journey Began Long Ago

I lost myself when I searched for you
I still feel the sting of regret
Now I search for me, where have I gone
Why did I leave?

Where were you in the summer of 69?
You died there back in time.
I thought I was looking for the future,
But I only found the past.

The war took your soul,
As you hid under the foe.
Why did you leave?
I do not know.

I found you and lost you again.
You changed your tune while I waited.
You stated only this,
Soon my daughter I will regress.

How could you hate her so?
Why did you leave her behind?
She suffered in grief,
While you sipped wine.

I waited my whole life for that moment
Now I am lost in time.
Who is the Victor?
Who is the Swine?
